In some instances, livestock manage to escape from the clutches of snow leopards and wolves, but later succumb to their injuries after days of struggle. Their chances of survival are significantly higher if they receive sufficient medical care. SLC-IT recognizes this need, and facilitates para-vet training. Immunization drives are also undertaken in some villages, which help in making livestock resistant to diseases like foot-and-mouth. These efforts greatly help in reducing human-wildlife conflict.
